⚖️The Money Market

Itos has its own money market so that any Itos asset can be used as collateral. Also since there is much more utility for low market cap tokens on Itos than anywhere else, we offer borrow/lending pools for plenty of tokens other protocols avoid.

Architecture

Our Money Market is extremely simple. Existing money markets are composed of two pieces:

• The token pool for depositing and withdrawing, which charges/earns a dynamically adjusting interest rate.

• The accounting mechanism to ensure solvency and issue liquidations when necessary.

Since Itos already has a robust and sophisticated cross-margin accounting system in the Position Manager, our Money Market smart contract actually only needs to handle the deposit/withdraw/interest rate responsibility. Otherwise, there is some extra code to interact with the Itos ecosystem, but that is also very straightforward as well.
